Transition from Operator to Set-up
For a limited time, you and your employees can take advantage of special training opportunities through a Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development grant aimed at making the region into a hub for advanced computerized machining.
Our aim is to help small and mid-size manufacturers meet workforce and technology challenges by:
- upskilling current CNC operators
- giving no-risk introduction to advanced multi-axis Swiss turn technology and its uses
- allowing access to Swiss turning equipment to do prototypes, one-offs, or short-runs
The result will enable companies to compete more effectively and increase Central Pennsylvania’s economic vitality.
This course is sponsored by a grant.
The $2500 course tuition is waived if student completes the required paper work.
Students only pay $150.00 Registration fee.
Course Description: This is designed to help someone make the transition from operator to setup person. The content is designed to emphasize the machine control and its axes while giving hands-on experience in setting up an actual Swiss-turning machine. The session will culminate with the completion of a machined part, meeting all specifications.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received at least 5 business working days prior to class start date. Substitutions will be accepted at any time. No shows and cancellations less than 5 business days prior to class start will be charged the advertised price for the class.
