Supervisory Fundamentals- II-Dealing With Difficult People and Work Processes

This 20 course is recommended for all supervisors who have completed Fundamentals of Supervision, Level I. The course content goes beyond the basic material covered in Level I. Participants will have the opportunity for peer interaction plus the ability to discuss real-life scenarios with instructors with extensive supervisory experience.

  • Conflict Resolution Modes
  • Counseling Troubled Employees
  • Correcting Problem Behavior
  • How and When to Discipline
  • Federal Laws/Diversity; Safety & Workers Comp
  • Civility; Decision Making; Limits of Authority, Responsibility & Accountability

Since 2000, these four courses in supervisory development have had over 800 enrollees from over 140 local and regional businesses. The Supervisory Certificate Program is designed to address the needs of supervisory personnel, both newly appointed supervisors and those in need of a structured training program to enhance their supervisory skills. 

 Taken in its entirety, the Certificate Program offers a broad coverage in the basic foundation principles of supervision, and addresses specific practical skills in such areas as described below in the Core Course Descriptions. This program offers the flexibility of selecting short elective courses for a wide variety of exposure and seminars for topics which may be new or emerging. 

To complete the Supervisory Certificate Program a person needs to complete 4 core classes and 2 short electives. 

 Participation in classes below is not limited to enrollment in the Supervisory Certificate Program. 

These classes are also available for delivery on site if you have between 8 to 15 participants.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received at least 10 business working days prior to class start date. Substitutions will be accepted at anytime. No shows and cancellations less than 10 business days prior to class start will be charged the advertised price for the class.
