Leading, Motivating and Understanding Your Team

Part III of the Supervisory Certificate. This course focuses on the forces that are necessary to create an effective and cohesive work team. The topics are centered on the concept of “Situational Leadership; that people and situations determine the method of supervising in an effective manner based on an understanding of human behavior of self and others.

Concepts/Topics include: Understanding Self and Other People-Temperament, Eight Elements necessary to “Getting Along”, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Understanding Self and Other People-Behavior, The Art of Flexing – the three best relating modes, Traditional vs. Teamwork vs. Team Environment, Ten differences between a team and a group, Five Dysfunctions of a Team. Who should attend: Front-line supervisors, those interested in continuing in supervisory certificate program, potential supervisors, and lead people.
