Swiss Turning Level 2 Course

Transition from Operator to Set-up
For a limited time, you and your employees can take advantage of special training opportunities through a Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development grant aimed at making the region into a hub for advanced computerized machining.

Our aim is to help small and mid-size manufacturers meet workforce and technology challenges by:

  • upskilling current CNC operators
  • giving no-risk introduction to advanced multi-axis Swiss turn technology and its uses
  • allowing access to Swiss turning equipment to do prototypes, one-offs, or short-runs

The result will enable companies to compete more effectively and increase Central Pennsylvania’s economic vitality.

Course Description: This is designed to help someone make the transition from operator to setup person. The content is designed to emphasize the machine control and its axes while giving hands-on experience in setting up an actual Swiss-turning machine. The session will culminate with the completion of a machined part, meeting all specifications.
