Award Winners Chosen for Manufacturers’ Association’s Awards,
To be Recognized April 25 During 2018 Annual Event Program
(York, Pa.) – Three outstanding manufacturers from throughout southcentral Pennsylvania have been selected to be honored and feted April 25 during The Manufacturers’ Association’s 112th Annual Event, hosted at The Pullo Center in York, PA.
Two manufacturers from the York County area, and a third winning firm from Franklin County, will be named Manufacturer of the Year, Business Innovator, and Community Investor, each recognized for the contribution they have made to their respective business organization or local community in 2017.
The awards presentations segment is just one part of a full evening which features social networking among business leaders from throughout the region, fine cuisine, entertainment, and a keynote address by well-known NASA Astronaut Captain Mark Kelly.
Kelly’s address, ‘Endeavour to Succeed,’ will highlight how focus, determination and persistence can help individuals overcome any personal or business challenge and drive their potential for even greater success, notes Todd Willman, the Association’s head of marketing and membership.
Kelly will address how he has overcome both personal and professional challenges in his years on-the-ground and while in space as a veteran of four space shuttle missions. Following his address, he will be part of a brief Q&A session hosted by event emcee Robb Hanrahan, news broadcaster and anchor for CBS 21 Harrisburg.
Afterwards, Kelly will conduct a book-signing for attendees interested in purchasing his two most recent books.
At the onset of the program, 24 members of The Kiltie Band of York will open the evening’s festivities at 6:00 PM. Well-known for their pipes and drums at appearances at many parades and celebrations throughout the region, the group currently celebrates their 90th anniversary in 2018.
Immediately following, The National Anthem will be performed by Caroline Rose, singer/songwriter from York, PA – who has performed the Anthem for such professional baseball teams as the Philadelphia Phillies, the Reading Fightin’ Phils, the York Revolution, and the Lancaster Barnstormers. Ms. Rose is a private piano and voice instructor in the York area.
