We’re thrilled to announce that The Manufacturers’ Association has been awarded a $200,000 Department of Labor and Industry Apprenticeship Training Office (ATO) grant as part of Pennsylvania’s initiative to strengthen advanced manufacturing across the state. This investment is a vote of confidence in the power of apprenticeships to transform careers and communities in Central PA.
Why This Matters
Manufacturing is the backbone of our region’s economy, and skilled talent is the key to keeping it strong. This grant allows us to expand our registered apprenticeship programs, giving more individuals the opportunity to learn, earn, and grow in high-demand roles. From machinists to maintenance technicians, these programs provide hands-on training that leads to family-sustaining careers.
Our Commitment
We’re taking this opportunity to enhance the programs we offer, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of employers and apprentices alike. With this funding, we will:
- Increase access to state-of-the-art training & equipment
- Support businesses across nine Central PA counties.
- Build stronger pathways for individuals seeking careers in advanced manufacturing.
