Basic Die Theory

This course is designed to teach the principles of blanking and/or piercing dies, bending, screwing, dowel holes, die life, punches, pilots, die-block construction, strippers and stock guides, shredders and knockouts, nest gauges, pushers, die stops, stock materials utilization and strip layout principles.
Students will learn basic techniques and theories of building and stamping dies along with the essential facts of cutting and forming operations.

39 Hours, Apprentice Program Approved.
