Course Title:CNC II

Course Description:

This course is designed to develop a proficient knowledge of CNC CAD/CAM programming and machining.
The student will learn basic programming concepts and techniques using the latest in computer aided drafting and computer aided machining technologies along with state of the art indexable tooling and computer workstations.

• Fundamentals of computer aided drafting and computer aided machining technologies
• Creation and manipulation of drawing files
• Machine tool selection
• Machining strategies and operations
• Program management
• Cutting tool technology
• Creation of two, two and one half, and three axis CAM programs in EIA word address formats.

Session Details

60 hours
Required book: Students are to use the same book from CNC I
Prerequisite: CNC 1 or a working knowledge
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received at least 10 business working days prior to class start date. Substitutions will be accepted at any time. No shows and cancellations less than 10 business days prior to class start will be charged the advertised price for the class.
