Forklift-Train the Trainer

This course is for companies that want their own forklift training personnel.
This is a 1 day class per vehicle type. They will receive materials to be able to conduct training within your location.
- Training Conducted on all makes of aerial work platforms
- Leading manufacturer training materials used
- Workbook/daily checklists/written exams
- Trainers use interactive videos for increased depth of knowledge
- Fueling/charging covered in-depth
- Fall protection training
- Workplace inspection
- Pre-start safety inspection using checklist
- Location and use of operator manuals
- Function test using checklist
- Inspection and proper use of fall protection (if required)
- Review all operational and safety functions
- Practice and demonstrate mobility and lift functions of vehicle
- Show understanding of how lift/travel speeds change with height difference
Topics will include:
- Organization of the training session
- Steps to effective training, Practical Applications
- The use of media presentations,
- OSHA requirements per 29 CFR1910.178, New OSHA regulations and S.O.P.,
- Presentation of driver training program
- Trainers obstacle course
- Obstacle course performed by students
- Appropriate forklift or aerial operator training program administered
- Detailed review of operator manual(s)
- Prospective trainers are educated on ANSI standards and OSHA regulations
- Training presentation and background materials disc provided to all participants
- Optional manufacturer’s training materials reviewed
- Prospective trainers are coached on classroom and hands-on training techniques
- Trainer trainees are evaluated on their type of equipment
- Trainers are educated to properly administer an “Operator Performance Evaluation”
- Basic Diesel Engine Diagnostics,
- Diesel Common Rail Injection System Safety
- Replace Transistor Control Systems with Transistor and CAN-Buss control systems
Vehicle training available: Powered Industrial Trucks:
- Class I: Electric Counter-Balance Vehicles (sit-down and stand-up)
- Class II: Narrow Aisle Vehicles (Stand-Up Reach/Stock pickers, etc.)
- Class III: Low level pallet trucks, Rider Jacks and Walk-Behind vehicles
- Class IV: Internal Combustion Sit-Down Cushion tire C
- lass V: Internal Combustion Sit-Down Pneumatic tire Class
- VI: Tuggers Class VII: Rough Terrain Forklifts / Variable Reach (Telehandler/Lull/Petibone)
Aerial Work Platform
- Self-Propelled (Scissor Lifts/One-Man lifts)
- Manually Propelled (Outriggers,)
- Boom Supported (Articulating and Straight Boom's)
- Towable Booms
Classes available several days every month. Group and onsite sessions are also available.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received at least 10 business working days prior to class start date. Substitutions will be accepted at any time. No shows and cancellations less than 10 business days prior to class start will be charged the advertised price for the class.
