This 54 hour class is designed to advance the student’s skills in the Shielded Metal Arc (Stick) process. Emphasis will be placed on the student’s ability to prepare material and perform welding of fillet and groove welds in carbon steel using E6010 and E7018 electrodes in all positions. Practice is geared towards Structural Welding Code vertical and overhead tests.

A certification test will also be administered within this course. Passing the certification tests provides an all position limited thickness AWS D1.1 welder certification.
