This course is designed for entry-level electricians and mechanics. This course is designed to introduce students to the role of PLCs in automation engineering and how to troubleshoot and diagnose controls related problems by navigating and monitoring RSLogix5000 software.

Course Outline:

o PLC hardware architecture
o PLC status indicators
o PLC & I/O schematics
o Industrial networks – Ethernet
o Connecting to the PLC with RSLinx
o Navigating RSLogix5000/Studio5000
o RSLogix5000 – Controller tags
o RSLogix5000 – Cross referencing
o RSLogix5000 – Reading ladder logic
o RSLogix5000 – Uploading & saving files
