COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course will introduce students to robotic mechanisms and their control systems. This course utilizes an ABB IRB 120 6-Axis robot. In this course students will learn to write a basic pick and place program and be challenged with providing a solution for a simple application.

COURSE OUTLINE:

Students will be able to apply knowledge gained from this course to other motion control systems.
System fundamentals
Applications
Manipulators
Basic Kinematics and programming

Pre-requisite: Electrical 1 & PLC or approval from the training department.
