This course will teach students fundamentals of Variable Frequency Drives for AC Motors and Variable Speed Drives for DC Motors.

The students will learn theory of operation and to size, install, and program VFD’s and VSD’s.

Course Outline:
• Proper installation guidelines
• Starting and Stopping
• Programming using built-in interface
• Programming using a PC
• Control using a PLC
