Course Description:

This course offers an audit of the operation and function of the following machines: cutoff saw, band saw, pedestal grinder, belt sander, drill press, lathe, vertical milling machine surface grinder, heat treatment and honing machine.

One half of the course will be in the training center shop performing layout work, demonstrations, and hands on fabrication of a small tool of their choosing.

Course Objectives:

Students will gain a understanding of covered machines including presentation and knowledge skills necessary to maneuver/operate on the shop floor.
