Course Description

SPC covers statistical methods to monitor and control a process for early detection and prevention of problems, rather than the correction of problems after they have occurred.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to teach the participant to solve problems, reduce errors and improve customer service by examining a variety of problem solving and planning techniques applied to the production/manufacturing or service delivery process.

Pre-control charting
X bar and R control charts
Attribute vs variable charting
Control chart interpretation
Root Cause Analysis
Process capability ratios and usage
Applied statistical methods
Preventative vs. corrective actions
