Building Strong Relationships of Trust
Professional Development
Relationships that are built on “high trust” are stronger and more effective than those that are not.
Although not always easy to do, establishing compelling trust requires integrity and commitment from all parties involved. It also requires mutual respect, open communication, warm regard & acceptance, and adherence to boundaries.
This half day class examines the “Relationship Bank Account” as a metaphor for the amount of trust that exists at any time in every relationship. “Deposits” build and repair trust; “withdrawals” take it away.
As we consciously manage our relationships, we need to increase our deposits and minimize our withdrawals so that we can build and maintain the trust needed to “get along” and to work together more productively.
Additionally, assessing one’s own DISC behavioral style, and those of others, serves as a tool that can help us learn to adapt more easily; communicate more effectively, and manage conflict more effectively with different personality types.
This workshop can be offered as a stand-alone in house half day elective. It is also part of the Supervisor Certificate Training Program series.
