Talent and Innovation Defense Ecosystem (T.I.D.E.)
building the defense sector skilled workforce
T.I.D.E. Project Overview
Mission/Vision: The TIDE Project will train a vibrant, highly skilled talent ecosystem and remove barriers to deploy automation and plant floor technologies to increase production capabilities of the defense industrial base workforce to strengthen our national security and US industrial competitiveness.
Funding was provided to the Manufacturers’ Association and partners by the US Department of Defense Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation through the Defense Manufacturing Community Support Program and was matched with funding from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development for a total project funding of $6,137,444.

The project will skill up individuals who are not currently in the manufacturing workforce on defense industry specific skills for careers as CNC operators/machining, welders and industrial maintenance. Individuals who successfully complete the training will then have the opportunity to be placed in employment in the defense industry through our regional manufacturers. Nearly 20 regional partners and manufacturers are supporting this project to grow the skilled manufacturing workforce for the US defense industrial base.
If you are an employer or an individual in the defense industry and are interested in participating in the program, please send an inquiry to office@mascpa.org or call 717-843-3891
