Introduction to Robotic Vision (FANUC iRVision)
Trade & Technical
This course is designed for individuals who are responsible for installing, setting up, programming, teaching, testing, and troubleshooting a FANUC America iRVision system. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the Process Tree, Vision Register Data, and the creation of a vision process using “Found Position”. It also covers calibration methods for both robot-mounted and fixed cameras, and the setup and configuration of Application Setup Tools and Vision Support
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to select the correct vision process and command tools based on the application. They will understand the difference between locator tools, process tools, measurements tools, and evaluations tools, and know how to use them correctly. Additionally, students will be able to create multiple processes using several different parts and concepts, perform several different calibration procedures, and follow recommended safety practices.
Course Outline:
1. Understanding the Process Tree, including Parent, Child, and Sibling Tools.
2. Understanding the Vision Register Data, such as Offset Data, Found Position Data, and Measurement Data, and how to extract specific information.
3. Creating a vision process using “Found Position”.
4. Calibrating both a robot-mounted and fixed camera using several different methods.
