Communicating Assertively- Supervisory – (5/20/24)

Communicating Assertively is a 3 hour session aimed at helping people understand that assertiveness is a desirable human behavior, needed for honest & healthy relationships.
It is the behavior required for “Win-Win” outcomes in negotiation, conflict resolution, and normal business dealings.
Because there is no correct level of assertiveness, we need to understand where the other person is coming from and flex our approach when communicating with others.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize your rights and those of others
- Differentiate between assertive, aggressive, and passive behavior
- Identify specific assertive and non-assertive behaviors
- Recognize your own behavioral tendencies and understand how to adapt these appropriately.
- Handle aggressive behavior with greater confidence
- Develop plans for adjusting your approach in a variety of different work situations
This class can be used as a supervisory elective in obtaining the Master Certificate.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received at least 10 business working days prior to class start date. Substitutions will be accepted at any time. No shows and cancellations less than 10 business days prior to class start will be charged the advertised price for the class.
