Update on Submarine Industrial Base Initiatives

Target Audience: Manufacturing enterprises involved in both primary, secondary or any tier contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy, actively seeking skilled trades personnel and anticipating the recruitment of a minimum of 1 employee within the upcoming 12-18 months.

The Objective

  • Over the past decade, the Military Industrial sector has experienced a reduction of 40%. Presently, the US Navy has undertaken an ambitious program to enhance its ability to construct Columbia Class Submarines, aiming for a twofold increase in capacity.
  • Get a briefing on efforts and resources, supporting expansion of the Submarine Industrial base, available to Central PA Manufacturers.

Please note this is a functional machine shop proper PPE includes steel toe shoes and safety glasses.  If you do not have steel toe shoes wear closed toe shoes. PPE will be provided if you do not have your own.
